MECHEL CAMP, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, English
Jackson State Community College

Welcome to my web page. I've been at Jackson State Community College for nine years, moving here from Birmingham, Alabama, where I worked as office manager at a law office while I finished my dissertation. My areas of study are generally nineteenth- through twenty-first century British literature, though I focus particularly on late nineteenth-century/early twentieth-century women's writing and on contemporary British novels.

Below are sample syllabi from my English courses. These change a bit from semester to semester, but you can get a general feel for how I conduct a class. If you need specific information, though, just email me: mcamp@jscc.edu.

Composition I

Composition II

World Lit 1650 to Present
