NEW COURSE for Spring 2007:

Southern Women's Narratives from the Civil War Era: 1860-1930

In this course we'll explore southern women's writing just before, during, and after the Civil War. The class will focus on short readings from slave narratives, other women's narratives, and related short readings. The format of the class will be primarily discussion. Grades will be based on a paper and presentation project.
